COOKIES

Browsing the site www.maison-gabriel.com may cause cookies to be installed on the user’s computer. A cookie is a small file that does not allow user identification but records information about computer navigation on a site. The data thus obtained aims to facilitate subsequent navigation on the site and is also intended to allow various attendance measurements.

Before being a computer file, the cookie is a delicious biscuit. Here is our favorite recipe:

For about fifteen cookies:

– 110 g of softened butter
– 175 g of dark chocolate chips
– 60 g of brown sugar
– 60 g of granulated sugar
– 1 egg
– 1/2 teaspoon of liquid vanilla
– 225 g of flour
– 1/2 teaspoon of baking powder
– A pinch of salt

Preparation:

1. Soften the butter: take it out of the refrigerator 30 minutes before or, if you forget, microwave it for a few seconds. But be careful; it should be soft, not melted.
2. Preheat the oven to 170°C.
3. Beat the butter with the sugars in a bowl until the mixture is foamy. Add the whole egg and then the liquid vanilla.
4. Sift the flour with baking powder and salt. Add it, little by little, in rain, still in the bowl. Add the chocolate chips (or chunks).
5. Place small heaps of dough on a parchment-lined baking sheet, making sure they are well-spaced. You can use an ice cream scoop; it works great. Flatten the small heaps with the back of a spoon to form disks.
6. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes. The cookies should be crispy.
7. Remove from the oven, place on a rack, and serve warm or cold.
Enjoy!
